Elena initiated Hempstatic during her studies in civil engineering at TU Wien.
She designed a partition targeting thin walls and noise transmission in residential buildings.
Together with her co-founder Igor, she completed a proof-of-concept. Next, they built an acoustic prototype.
First practical results showed measurable acoustic improvements in a pilot with Impact Hub Vienna.
Hempstatic gained support for further development, and their initial idea evolved into a company’s mission.
Founded in 2022 in Vienna, the company now runs a first-of-its-kind factory for advanced biocomposites manufacturing.
